Notably, the biggest telecom operator in the country had only recently upgraded the pack - earlier in January to be specific - to boost its validity from 28 days to 70 days. Now, the Airtel Rs. 399 prepaid pack - which offers 1GB of 3G/4G data per day, unlimited local, STD, and roaming voice calls, as well as 100 SMSes per day - has been upgraded to offer a validity of 84 days.
Xiaomi
has launched a new laptop that can potentially compete against the Apple Macbooks - Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch version. While the laptop was there in the market since past couple of years, this one has now been updated with Intel 8th-gen processors. The new model comes in two variants with one running Core i5 processor and the other powered by Core i7 processor.
The laptop has a 13.3-inch full HD display with 170-degree wide-viewing angle and 80.1% screen is to body ratio. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has a narrow bezel of 5.59mm.
The Intel 8th-gen Core i7 variant is supported by 8GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB SSD storage. It also features NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPU and 2GB GDDR5 dedicated RAM. The Core i5 variant, except for the processor, shares the same set of specifications. Both are available in Deep Space Gray colour variant.
I’m all about beautifying the interface on my Android phone, and so I’m happy to report that I’ve just come across one of the best tools for livening up your wallpaper. All you need to do is move around!
Skyline, a fairly new live wallpaper app, grabs 3D terrain data from Mapbox for your exact location, so you can see what it looks like from high above wherever you are in the world. Here’s my home screen setup, with Skyline set to Yosemite national park:
It also includes parallax effects so you can see more of the area when you unlock your phone, swipe through screens, or tilt your device in different directions. You can also set any location on the planet to get a different background, and pan and zoom before you apply a new background.
Depending on where you point the app, the results can be breathtaking; I enjoyed looking for interesting landscapes by searching through the places listed in the r/earthporn subreddit.
IIf you enjoyed the overhead view live wallpapers that came with the Google Pixel 2 (which you can also install on your own Android device), you’ll want to give Skyline a go too. It’s certainly worth the $2 asking price for a world full of eye-candy. Grab it from Google Play.
LG had launched an entry-level smartphone called LG Aristo in January 2016. Fast forward one year, and the company now seems to be working on the phone's successor. The LG Aristo 2 appears to be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor running at 1.4GHz.
It is an entry-level smartphone and will be available in the United States. LG never launched the Aristo smartphone in India, so expect the same with the LG Aristo 2 as well. The Aristo 2 is listed on the company’s website, and interestingly, it has similar specifications as the original Aristo, sans a slightly different design. The device will be available in a single variant and carries a price tag of $139 (approx. Rs 8,900).
