Qualcomm is offering a taste of its performance with a Qualcomm all new Snapdragon 845.
The new chip uses new CPU core designs based on Cortex-A75 and A55. This architecture has four of each in the Snapdragon 845. This is the first SoC to support DynamIQ, which allows for a finer voltage/frequency control. The max frequency was increased to 2.8GHz (for the big cores), up from 2.47GHz on the Snapdragon 835.
The Snapdragon 845 processor shows major improvements in both integer and floating point tasks. This chip is built on a 10nm fabrication process, which should allow for slightly higher clock speed for similar power usage so the real world difference between the S845 and S835 should be even more pronounced.
As Elon Musk's cherry Red Tesla Roadster that was sent to an orbit around Mars took a different trajectory well beyond its destination, a space observatory in Arizona, US caught it 'zooming' in space.
The car with a dummy driver dubbed 'Starman' was tied to the Falcon Heavy rocket by SpaceX and was originally intended to be inserted into an orbit that would fly closer to Mars but the third engine burn of the Falcon Heavy upper stage "exceeded" that orbit, sending the car into deep space, Elon Musk had said earlier this week.
The Space.com reported that the Roadster is being tracked by the Virtual Telescope Project of Tenagra Observatory in Arizona as it ventures beyond the Moon's orbit. The new observation of the Roadster, obtained by a robotically controlled telescope, showed the car moving across the night sky.
First time any tech company has revealed about leaks and vulnerabilities completely and Apple is just one of them. The Tim Cook-led firm's iOS team may have been super active since past couple of days as someone posted an iOS 9 source code on GitHub over the weekend. Several media reports did mention that it could give hackers a chance to dig in and find the vulnerabilities and as a result, make it easier to jailbreak iPhones.
However, hours after the source code leak, Apple gave a response that primarily confirmed:
The leaked source code is confirm (legal).
Users should stay updated on the latest iOS version.
iOS 9 hardly has any share in the pie as majority are on iOS 11 and last year's iOS 10 for now.
The source code that made its way on GitHub was labelled as 'iBoot', which in iOS make sure a trusted boot of the operating system, explains MotherBoard. Although the code suggested it is for iOS 9, Apple may be using some parts of it in iOS 11 as well. For those unaware, Apple never releases its OS source code to the public.
