On Thursday, cybersecurity firm Digital Shadows warned in a report, popularity of bitcoin and the emergence of about 1,500 other digital coins or tokens thus expanding more opportunities for crime and fraud.
Digital currencies have quickly grown into a more mainstream asset class over the last two years as corporations and financial institutions have expanded use of the underlying blockchain technology.
With weekly launches of new alternative coins or altcoins, cybercriminals have developed several schemes to defraud the cryptocurrency holders.
In crypto jacking which is one of schemes, cybercriminals secretly take over another computer user's browser and use it to fraudulently mine or create cryptocurrencies.
Google will use Machine Learning to predict Flight delays
Google has introduced a new feature in its 'Google Flights' service that will help users predict flight delays and find the cheapest fare by using machine learning abilities.
Using historic flight status data, Google's machine learning algorithms can predict some delays even when any information is not available from airlines side.
Google will also provide reasons for the delays due to weather or an aircraft arriving late.
OnePlus 5 gets iPhoneX like 'face unlock' feature with Oreo update
OnePlus has finally rolled out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for its OnePlus 5 this year. The company has released the Android Oreo update as part of the OxygenOS 5.0.2.
The update brings some bug fixes to the device along with Face Unlock. The update will also claim to improve the image stabilization for video recording.
Facebook CEO claims WhatsApp reaches to 1.5 billion user milestone
WhatsApp is achieving heavy milestones in the instant messaging space. It has left several other rival apps in the race past few months as it stuffed the app with much-needed features and even introduced a dedicated app for small and medium businesses. As a result of this, the instant messenger has now touched a new user base milestone of 1.5 billion. This figure was announced by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in Q4 2017 results.
Facebook CEO said that WhatsApp witnesses around 60 billion messages being sent every day. Until July last year, the platform added around 1.3 billion users with 1 billion daily active users. When Facebook acquired WhatsApp in 2014 in $19 billion, the messaging firm had 450 million monthly active users and 315 million daily active users.
