Google’s Assistant Go app is now available for slower phones

Main Highlights :

Google launched Assistant Go on the Play Store.
The app is mostly the same as the regular Assistant app, though there are a few key missing features.

Google released its lightweight Assistant Go app to the Play Store. This is the latest in the growing lineup of resource-friendly apps designed for the Android Go platform.
Much like the regular Assistant, Assistant Go lets you use your voice to pull up weather information, send text messages, make calls, and even request general information feedback from Google. Because the app was designed to take up less storage and data, Assistant Go does not include reminders, controls for smart home devices, Actions on Google, or Device Actions. The app is also not likely to support “OK Google” or “Hey Google” hands-free activation anytime soon, either.

The Wednesday flight at a test range in the US state of Oregon lasted just under one minute, with the aircraft lifting up five metres (16 feet) from the ground and landing without control from a pilot, the European aerospace firm said in statement.
