Airtel has slashed the price of its 4G Hotspot portable Wi-Fi device to Rs. 999 as it attempts to bring more consumers on its network. The Airtel 4G Hotspot allows users to connect multiple devices, from smartphones and laptops to tablets and smart TVs, on a portable network for connectivity on the go. With this price cut, Airtel is bringing the fight to Reliance Jio as its JioFi M2S 4G hotspot device is also priced at Rs. 999. Before the price cut, Airtel 4G Hotspot was available at roughly Rs. 1,500 across the country.

Airtel 4G Hotspot Specificaion and Features

        Airtel 4G Hotspot/Portable travel WiFi router, creates a wifi network and provides internet using 4G/3G/2G cellular connection so that you can connect multiple WoFi devices like smartphones/tablets etc on the go with a single SIM card it also has a built-in battery so it's truly portable and you can carry it with you on the move and be connected to internet.

        The Airtel 4G Hotspot is TDD spectrum supported and also supports FDD spectrum, 3G spectrum and 2G spectrum. This means you can use this device with a variety of bandwidths. It is of cat4 LTE UE category and supports a maximum download speed of 150MB/s.

This has a 1500mAh battery inside, which is rated to deliver more than six hours of battery life. This Airtel 4G Hotspot device works only with Airtel 4G SIM card. Another best part of the Airtel 4G Hotspot is that it will switch to the 3G network automatically if there's no 4G network availability in a particular area.

Airtel 4G Hotspot Tariff Plans

        The tariff plans for Airtel 4G Hotspot starts at Rs 499 per month and goes all the way up to Rs 12,000 for a yearly pack. Airtel is also offering some exciting offers such as 1GB data per day currently with some of its plans. One of its plans is of Rs 499 which gives 1GB data per day for an entire month, on top of the standard 5GB data offered by the base pack.
