iPhone and iPad Users will see variety of changes with the release of new iOS Update version 11.3, this spring. They include the improved version of Augmented Reality(AR), four new animated emoji characters and a Health App update for viewing medical records.
Other features included in version iOS 11.3 are new tools for chatting with businesses, for monitoring battery health and power management. The Developer preview of iOS 11.3 is available to iOS Developer Program Members and final release will be roll out later in Spring.
Reliance Jio's feature phone is leading the India's feature phone market in Q4-2017 by beating Samsung, according to the latest research from Counterpoint's Market Monitor Service. Reliance Jio led the segment during the fourth quarter of year 2017.
Reliance Jio captured the market with 26% marketshare in the segment in Q4-2017, followed by the Samsung which stands on 15% marketshare in segment. The third position went to Micromax with 9% marketshare, followed by ITEL and Nokia HMD with 7% and 6% marketshare respectively.
Xiaomi's popular budget smartphone Redmi 5A is available with cashbacks and card discounts at Big Bazaar offline retail stores during the Republic Day Sale. The Xiaomi's Redmi 5A 2GB variant was available at Rs.4,500 while Redmi 5A 3GB variant was available at Rs.6,999 via Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi stores. Apple is all set to release its HomePod Speakers on February 9th and its pre-orders will start from Friday, 26th January. The device will initially available for sale in US, UK and Australia. Later in Spring, it will arrive in France and Germany.
At an effective price of $349, HomePod is being positioned more as competitor to Sono's high-end wireless speakers than inexpensive smart speakers flooding the market.
The Korean Giant electronics company Samsung launched its first A series smartphone in India. With an effective price of Rs.32,999, Samsung Galaxy A8+ will compete with OnePlus 5T and the Nokia 8. The Samsung Galaxy A8+ includes the features like Infinity Display, Dual selfie Camera, IP68 rating, Metal and Glass design and Samsung Bixby.
The smartphone comes with a 6-inch Infinity AMOLED Display with screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio with a Gorilla Glass coating on top of display.
