The Atari company which is well-known for its iconic video games such as Pac-Man and Pong is planning to launch its own Crypto-Currency called "Atari Token" soon.
Atari has acquired a 15% stake in the Infinity Networks Pvt. Ltd., a Gibraltar based company. The main aim of this move by the company is to increase the development of digital platform which will be bulid by its own cryptocurrency "Atari Token".
Atari had previously created an Atari token for the purpose of in-game purchasing. But now, new purpose of Atari token will get added by the company.
Atari is planning to integrate its own crypto-currency with its branding partnership with Pariplay Ltd. which offers online games using Atari Games and provide characters as the part of their design to the company. The company also hints at the creation of second token called "Pong Token" which will mainly be used in the online casino games.
Atari's Stock price saw a noticeable jump when the announcements was made.
