BMW will spend more on autonomous and electric technology


Automaker Company BMW said that this year's profits will be equal to last year results as the company is spending billions into developing electric and autonomous car technology to meet expected changes in how people get from one place to another.

The company would allocate an increasing amount to research and development after spending 6.1 billion euros in 2017 with an increase of billion euros.


Amazon's in-home delivery service app now features fingerprint authentication


The new service called Amazon key allows the company’s couriers access your home to drop off parcels and works via a home security camera and a smart door lock.

The service was introduced in last october and now updated today with new feature called fingerprint authentication.

Amazon Key allows you to remotely lock/unlock your door and check delivery footage.

This extra layer of security is useful for people who might leave a secondary phone/tablet lying around the house.


Orbitz discovered a data breach which affected 880,000 credit cards


On 1st March, Travel booking website Orbitz discovered a potential data breach that exposed information for thousands of customers.

The incident discovered by the company may have exposed information of about 880,000 credit cards.

Orbitz said it worked with a forensic investigation firm, cybersecurity experts, and law enforcement once the breach was discovered in order to eliminate and prevent unauthorized access to the platform.


Apples nearly doubles the number of autonomous cars in California


Previously, Apple had 25 self-driving cars registered with department of Motor Vehicles of California till January but now has 45 self-driving cars registered with Department of Motor Vehicles of California.

The number of autonomous cars of Apple is more than the companies like Google, Waymo, and Uber and is second only to General Motors which performs tests with Cruise which is their self-driving test division.
