Delhi Government reserved Rs.100 crore for free WiFi


On Thursday, Delhi Government said it reserved Rs.100 crore for free WiFi access across the city.

Finance Minister Manish Sisodia made the announcement in his 2018-19 budget speech in the Assembly.

This project was launched in 2016 but failed to take off.


Amazon's latest patent is a delivery drone that understands when you shout at it


Amazon has filed a patent for a delivery drone that responds when you call or wave at it.

The concept drone is designed to recognize human gestures and then respond accordingly.

Gestures the drone includes waving arms, pointing, the flashing of lights, and the speech.


Next update of Google chrome will block autoplay videos that have sound


Google is finally blocking autoplay videos that start with the sound blaring.

The browser will only play them automatically if the sound isn’t playing by default or if you click and interact with the site, or have previously shown an interest in media on the site.


China's Transsion soon to tie up for JioPhone


Chinese mobile phone maker Transsion Holdings is planning to launch a 4G feature phone in India and is exploring a supply tie-up or a co-branded device with JioPhone.

Transsion India managing director Marco Ma told ET, 'Jio is pushing for their 4G feature phone in India. We are planning to do it and are involved in discussions with them for the second phase of JioPhone. We are exploring both dual-branding and ODM (original device maker) partnership with them'.
