Asus ROG Strix GL702ZC Laptop With AMD Ryzen 7 Launched in India: Price, Specifications

ASUS this week introduced the industry’s first gaming laptop powered by AMD’s eight-core Ryzen 7 1700 processor. The ASUS ROG Strix GL702ZC-WB74 is a 17.3” desktop replacement machine that uses the desktop-class CPU and a powerful GPU to offer peak gaming performance to its users.

Since the system relies on numerous desktop-class components and an inexpensive FHD display panel, the final pricetag not too high for a gaming notebook, with the laptop launching for $1499. Meanwhile, ASUS will also offer an even more affordable version powered by AMD’s six-core Ryzen 5 1600, as well as a more advanced model with a 120 Hz display panel.

Qualcomm's upcoming 7 nm-based Snapdragon 855 Fusion Platform will include the X50 5G modem

Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 devices have just started hitting the market with the majority of device makers still working on an 845-powered flagship.

In the midst of it all, Qualcomm has already started working on the next generation of SoC, the Snapdragon 855. The company has not revealed any details regarding the 855 at the time of writing.

According to a recent report by GizmoChina, Softbank has revealed in one of its presentations that 'Snapdragon 855 SDM855 Fusion Platform’ will come with SDX50 5G Modem. The presentation also pointed out that telecom equipment vendors such as Samsung, Nokia and Ericsson will start deploying ‘Massive MIMO sites from 2018’ where MIMO refers to multiple-input and multiple output, while expanding these sites to ‘all major markets in 2019.’ This comes weeks after it was reported that Snapdragon 855 will be based on a 7 nm manufacturing process instead of the 10 nm manufacturing process that is used to make the Snapdragon 845 and 835.

China’s 9½-ton space lab will soon crash to Earth

China's 9½-ton space station, Tiangong-1, will come falling from space soon, and it's predicted to head in that general direction.

For the uninitiated, Tiangong-1 launched in 2011 as China's first space laboratory, a prototype for what the country hoped would eventually be a permanent space station. For about five years, it did just that, orbiting the Earth and acting as a base for three missions (two manned, one unmanned) for the Chinese National Space Administration.

In September 2016, however, Chinese officials announced that they had lost control of the station, meaning Tiangong-1 (literally “heavenly palace”) would eventually defy its name and come hurtling back to Earth.

Exactly when or where it would do so was a mystery.

Windows 10’s next update will be called ‘Spring Creators Update’

The release of the next big Windows 10 update, codenamed Redstone 4, isn't far off, but Microsoft hasn't yet officially announced what its final name will be at release. However, it looks like Microsoft will be leaning on the "Creators Update" naming scheme again, opting to call Windows 10 version 1803 the Spring Creators Update.

References to the Spring Creators Update had previously been included in a Microsoft blog post and the Feedback Hub, but they were later removed. Now, the naming has popped up as a reference in the latest Redstone 5 build, which rolled out to Skip Ahead Insiders this week.

An official release date hasn't been announced, but the Spring Creators Update is expected to roll out in April. It will include more Fluent Design elements spread throughout hte UI, along with a new Timeline feature, improvements to Edge and Cortana, and more.
